Overview
Greenview provided mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and Section J engineering for the refurbishment of the General Gordon Hotel, a heritage-listed pub at Sydenham, delivered with builder Rohrig and AVA Architects.
Heritage pubs pull in two directions: keep the character of the building, yet meet current code and support a contemporary venue. With services routes constrained by existing structure and finishes, our team worked the design through the model to navigate those limits before documentation and prepared a Section J assessment suited to the refurbishment. The finished venue reads as its old self while performing to today's standards.
