Overview
Greenview provided structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic engineering, with BASIX certification, for a social and affordable housing development at Vicliffe Avenue, Campsie, working with Stanton Dahl Architects and builder Mono Constructions.
Affordable housing has to meet the same standards as market-rate work, usually on a tighter budget, which makes the early decisions count. BASIX targets for energy, water and thermal comfort were designed into the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems rather than retrofitted, and resolving structure, civil and services together in one model kept the documentation tight and the construction efficient for Mono.
