Overview
Greenview delivered full multi-discipline engineering for the redevelopment of the Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat, rebuilt after the 2020 bushfires with Ryter Management, architect Edmiston Jones and builder Peloton Constructions. The scope covered eight tourist cabins, a managers cabin, a function centre, an alfresco commercial kitchen and an amenities building.
Several NCC building classes shared one rural site, each with its own services needs, alongside bushfire attack level compliance, rural stormwater and BASIX certification. Developing every discipline together in a coordinated model gave Edmiston Jones and Peloton one resolved engineering package across all building types, and returned the retreat to operation better equipped than before the fires.
