Overview
Greenview provided structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire engineering for the refurbishment and extension of Building Z at Western Sydney University's Kingswood campus, working with BKA Architecture. The scope combined partial demolition, a new two-storey addition and portal frame, and specialist laboratory fitouts.
The refurbished spaces now house Materials Testing, Nanotechnology, Soils and Asphalt Testing laboratories, each needing carefully controlled services across both retained and new structure. Holding all seven disciplines in one model let the team manage that old-to-new interface, clear clashes before construction and prepare a Section J report alongside the services, giving BKA and the contractor confidence in a modernised, code-compliant research facility.
